We joined the London Internet Exchange (LINX) in March 2015. This increased the amount of bandwidth available to our customers and should have reduced latency to some UK destinations.
LINX is a neutral, mutually owned organisation of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and content delivery service providers (CDSPs). It has over 300 members collectively carrying the overwhelming majority of UK internet traffic, and over 620 members connecting from 64 different countries worldwide giving access to direct routes from a large number of diverse international peering partners. Using LINX allows a reliable exchange of traffic with increased routing control and improved performance.
LINX is a significant internet industry body and in addition to its exchange services, provides a forum and support to its membership in matters of best practice, public policy, and regulatory awareness and analysis.
We are pleased to be able not only to provide our customers with the benefit of its exchange services, but also to contribute to discussions on industry developments.
